This year a bunch of us got hotel rooms downtown in order to make sure we had a place to sleep and no one would drink and drive. Last year we had a hell of a time getting cabs and ended up walking a couple of miles home and I did not want to relive that being that we were going out 6.5 miles from my house this time.
Weaver setup a group dinner at Tulio downtown and we had an awesome Italian meal with friends in costume before heading to our respective parties. Everyone in the restaurant was dressed to the 9's and of course we are in our ridiculous costumes. We got quite a few looks and comments!
Everyone was split between Bonza Bash and the Showbox. Todd, Amy, Jessica, Donnie, Darren, Tom, Wendee, Ji-Ae, Brian, and several other friends went to Showbox together. We had a great time! The cover band was called Cool Aid and they were awesome! I'll have to check out their site and go see them again when they play downtown...great music and dancing.
On top of having such a great night, the weather was cold and crisp with clear skies and the next morning was crystal clear blue skies! Todd and I took a walk through Pike Place and wandered around downtown to enjoy the sunshine and warmth.
