Olympics and Mt. Angeles

This past weekend Bram, Emily, Zeus, and I loaded up the car and headed for the Olympics for Kari’s birthday camping weekend. We met up with Kari, Jason, and Jeff to camp out Friday night at the group site in Dosewallip State Park in Quilcene.

Saturday morning Bram and I got up and drove out to Port Angeles to Hurricane Ridge. We decided on scrambling to the top of Mt. Angeles for the day while the others stayed back at camp to relax and wait for the rest of the group (about 20 folks) to show up. Mt. Angeles is 6,454 feet high and it’s mostly a beautiful hike and then about 300 feet of scrambling to the top.
