Backpacking in Leavenworth

Jeff and I decided to hit up the trail leading up to The Enchantments to get out of the city and spend some time in nature. We were going to go to Mt. Shuksan but conditions were not the best so the two of us ended up going out towards Leavenworth. The weather was amazing and it was so warm at the base of the mountain. As we climbed further up in elevation we hit a lot of snow and spent the night up in the snow!

Snow in April...I love it!

Our camp for the night

We ended up staying curled up in our sleeping bags for a good bit of the morning until the sun hit the valley and warmed us up! We started to head out and find the first lake of a series that are up there.

Gooood Morning!

We couldn't get to the lake because we were on the wrong side of this huge river so we hung out by the waterfall and ate a snack before heading back to pack up camp.
