This weekend I will be attempting to summit Mt. Rainer via the Kautz Glacier route. Currently the plan is to hike to 11,300 feet Friday to camp at Camp Hazard. We will hang out there all day Saturday and acclimate, scope out the route for the next day, and relax. Sunday morning we will probably get up around 1 a.m. or so and push for the summit assuming the conditions are good and the weather is right.
