Carbon Glacier

Jeff and I hiked up to the Carbon Glacier on Mount Rainer. It is the lowest Glacier in the old 48 states! It was looking pretty dirty this late in the season with all the snow melting with the warm weather we have had lately.

We hiked along the Carbon River the whole way and crossed over a bridge by this little falls in the picture below.

There was an awesome suspension bridge we had to cross to get over the river and continue on the hike up to the glacier.

When you're half way across the bridge you can begin to see the bottom of the glacier in the distance in this photo.
